Primary Clubs2011-2012
ECAs - Extra Curricular Activities
- These activities are offered by BST staff.
- Each child is guaranteed a place in one ECA per term.
- A letter will be sent out with the details each term.
- Children choose and rate three choices from the list.
- We endeavor to give all children their first choice but this is not always possible.
- We keep records; if a child does not get his/her first choice in Term 1 they will get it in Term 2 or 3.
- Some clubs will run all three terms, others for one or two terms.
- In order to keep some variety and offer new and exciting opportunities most of the ECAs will be decided on a termly basis.
- After school ECA times will be Shibuya: 3.25-4.20pm and Showa: 3.30-4.25pm.

ASCs - Additional Sports Clubs
- These clubs are offered by BST staff to provide children with opportunities to train more competitively in a range of team and individual sports.
- Some of the sports will involve competing in fixtures against others schools and clubs.
- We try to have some fixtures for all of the sports offered but this depends on other schools’ and clubs’ sports programmes at this age group each year.
- Children are selected for ASCs, based on performance and PBs by BST staff and coaches, from those expressing interest in participation.
- Children are expected to attend for all three terms. An opportunity to change is offered at the beginning of each term but not encouraged.
- We endeavor to involve as many children as possible in the sports programme and support children in finding a sport that matches their skills and abilities.
- Parents and athletes are informed of selection for fixtures at least two weeks prior to the event.
