We are a rigorous, happy, thriving two-site school that has high expectations and a high and growing reputation. BST is run as a not-for-profit trust located in the heart of Tokyo and we are the only school in Japan offering the National Curriculum of England. We currently have around 650 British and international students aged 3 to 18.

We follow the UK academic year, from September to July, and our recruitment for teacher positions follows this cycle, beginning in January for starts the following September. Since we follow the National Curriculum of England we expect all teachers either to have qualified in the UK (with a B. Ed. or PGCE) and have Qualified Teacher Status and/or to have recently spent at least one year in the UK teaching the National Curriculum.
