Academic Performance
BST provides the English National Curriculum and carries out assessments in line with the practice of a good UK maintained or private school. The most valuable assessments that are made are on an hourly and daily basis, the ad-hoc assessments that teachers use to inform what happens next in the learning process.Significant milestones come in Years 2, 6 and 9, when ‘End of Key Stage’ assessments are made, standardised to UK national levels of achievement. Additionally our students sit GCSE exams in Years 10 and 11, with grades awarded.
National performance data is also available that allows us to compare BST to other schools at the key milestone points.
