Residential Trips
Towards the end of Year 1 children take part in a one night residential to Hachioji which is about one and a half hours from Shibuya.
The children stay in rooms of up to 8 and take part in many exciting activities including nature studies and group initiatives in the natural environment of Japan. The children also benefit from the social aspects of residential life by forming or strengthening friendships and developing personal independence and co-operation.
The trip continues to develop the children’s physical, emotional and educational development. As well as enabling teachers to extend curriculum topics to encompass field work, the residential offers the children a range of physical activities that are better provided for outside school.
