Routines & Expectations
A snack, packed lunch, hat and raincoat must be brought each day.Children need to bring their reading diary to school every day. They must write a comment (half a page to a page) about their reading book each week. This is checked by the teacher on Fridays.
PE lessons are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Indoor shoes are needed for the PE lesson on Tuesday and trainers for the lesson on Wednesday. Since the Tuesday lesson is in the morning, it is best if the children come to school wearing their PE kit and bring their uniform to change into later.
Swimming lessons are on Fridays. The children will need to bring their swimming kit, including goggles and a swimming hat.
Home learning is given out on Wednesdays. It is always handed in on a Monday. In addition to the home learning tasks, children are expected to read 15 to 20 minutes each night, and to practise their times tables and spellings daily.
Spellings are given out on a Monday and a list will come home. The test is on the following Monday.
