Communication
Most information is communicated to parents via hard copy letter which is sent home with students. This includes information and reply slips for trips and special events. Information is also sent from the School via email, using parents’ ‘Gaggle’ email accounts.The Senior School publishes a weekly newsletter, ‘Senior School News’, on the BST website; this includes information about special events, plus sporting and musical activities, letters that have gone home as hard copy and a massage from the Head Teacher. Parents are expected to read the ‘Showa Secondary News’ and follow the event calendar on the website to keep up to date with events at School.
Additionally, ‘The Lion’ is a whole School newsletter, published on the website each Friday afternoon. It incorporates a weekly message from the Head Teacher, updates on any significant events or developments and information about the PTA and BST Lions Sports Club. Again, we expect that all parents will read The Lion every week.
