Past BST Pupil - Cambridge Bound

We like to keep in touch with the many past pupils of BST & it is always good to hear what they are up to & to hear about their successes.

Past pupil, Emma Clement (BST 2002-2006), has made her family very proud by gaining entry to study engineering at Cambridge University having gained A* grades in Physics, Maths & Further Maths A-levels. Her story made it to the local newspaper in Durham as she hopes to buck gender stereotypes in the field of engineering.

Emma spent 3 weeks of her summer holidays working at the Japanese construction firm, Komatsu, in Birtley, near Chester-le-Street, where she has been learning to weld, drive a digger, work on the assembly line & spray paint. Emma wants to come back to Japan to do some work experience with Komatsu during her next holiday.

Well done Emma!
