Japanese Exchange for Year 7 launched
Year 7 visit Showa Elementary School in Japanese classes.
On Tuesday the 12th October, between 1.40 and 2.35 BST pupils in Year 7 visited Showa Elementary School Year 5 and undertook an Exchange event. In our Japanese groups we visited each of their three main classrooms and individually sat at tables with 2 or 3 of their students. Then within these small groups we played a warm-up game of Pictionary before the main event – a questionnaire in Japanese.
BST Year 7 pupils have been working in their different ability groups towards this event, creating a set of varied and relevant questions which they can both ask and answer to create a conversation. The atmosphere in the event was excellent and pupils are ready for Part 2 of the event on the 26th October.
