KIRSTEN O'CONNOR - DEPUTY HEAD OF PRIMARY

Kirsten has a BAEd (Hons) from Canterbury Christ Church University, specialising in Key Stage Two. She holds an MEd in Educational Leadership and the NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship). Kirsten taught the full range of Primary age groups in The London Borough of Newham prior to joining BST, where she was a Maths and Science Coordinator as well as a Local Authority Leading Maths Teacher. Kirsten came to Tokyo and joined BST in August 2001, as Head of Key Stage One. She has been Deputy Head of Primary at BST since January 2006.

CHRIS NICHOLLS - DEPUTY HEAD OF SECONDARY

Chris has a BA (Hons) in English from Nottingham University, an MA in Applied Linguistics from London University and a PGCE (Secondary English). Before coming to BST, he was Head of English at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore, taught at Caterham School in Surrey and ran a language training institute in London. He has a son in Year 11 and is also Deputy Head of the Secondary School.

JONNY LIDDELL - ASSISTANT HEAD OF SECONDARY

Jonny has an MA (Cantab) in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a PGCE from King’s College London. Before moving to Japan he spent 4 years working in a high achieving state school in north London. As well as his role of Assistant Head of Secondary, he is a specialist Physics teacher and also teaches general Science at KS3. Jonny has particular interest in effective assessment and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors.
