Dear Parents and Friends of The British School in Tokyo,

From the School's founding in 1989, a spirit of giving has characterised the BST community. The generous donation of time, expertise and resources by countless people over many years has ensured the School has grown and prospered while generations of students have thrived. Indeed, in the British poet Geoffrey Chaucer's words, "mighty oaks from little acorns grow".

Building on this rich tradition of giving, I am delighted to announce the launch of the BST Annual Fund as part of the School's new development and fundraising strategy.

The beneficial impact of philanthropy at BST promises to be enormously influential. A gift of any size to the Annual Fund will not only assist the School in continuing to provide an exceptional education for all students but will also ensure the development of even more inspirational and transformative opportunities in both the Primary and Secondary phases.

I encourage you to read about the Annual Fund's aims, anticipated innovative projects, and, importantly, how to donate to the Fund here

In addition, it would be wonderful to see you at an Online Forum dedicated to the launch of the Annual Fund on November 11th at 6pm and a fantastic in-person celebratory evening event hosted by the Parent-Teacher Association on December 9th.

More information regarding the School's fundraising approach is available here on the website.

Thank you for your continued support of the School and generosity.
