BST AIKIDO CLUB
2019 marks the BST Aikido Club’s 27th year of operation at the school. The Club is an officially recognized dojo of the Aikikai Foundation-Aikido World Headquarters under the Pacific Aikido group.
Our children’s classes are designed for students to reach their full potential by doing enjoyable, basic Aikido movements. A systemized approach to physical development through a series of fun yet focused body movement drills that focus on specific parts of the techniques will enable your child to progress with a solid foundation of Aikido basics. The classes will help your child learn how to move naturally and develop strength, balance and coordination.
Classes are Mondays after school, Tuesdays before school, and Saturday mornings. All classes are open to boys and girls aged five and older and take place in the Shibuya campus gym. Classes take place at other locations during the week that are open to BST students as well.
Current students have first chance at keeping their places each term and new students will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve, space-available basis.
Aikido for BST staff & adults
Every Monday from 5:45 to 6:45 is our adults’ class, open to all BST staff members, both from Showa & Shibuya, and BST parents.
Our adult classes are open to anyone interested in working with others in an enjoyable atmosphere. While the practice can be serious we try to ensure that while getting a great work out we also have fun.
No experience is necessary, come and give us a try!
